" I believe that the human brain is a crazy place, and I would love to guide people through that crazy place. This all starts with a conversation. Along the way I’ll find a path with the individual and uncover their fears, most intimate thoughts, traumas, values, interests, and much more. And if we don’t, well then, we keep the conversation going because I want them to get to a place where they can navigate through their own brain with ease. My name is Winnie and I’m a certified mental health counsellor. I have spent the last five years of my life utilizing and polishing my counselling skills with individuals that have various psychosocial difficulties. I have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology that helps me intervene and understand diverse ethnic/cultural groups. With my degree in Sociology, I understand that the individual is part of a system in which they play a role that often shapes their identity. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Career Development in which I have specialized counselling skills in individual and group counselling. With my training I am able to adapt my interventions with my clientele and curate a personalized mental health plan for them.
