Ruth Alvarado (she/her)

" Coming from Colombia, I started a new educational experience in Canada, Montreal, obtaining an undergraduate degree in psychology followed by a master in social work, and master degree in creative art therapies (drama therapy option), which have informed a practice that values the unique history and rich identity of each person and promotes integration and transformation. I use poetry, movement, image, stories to tap into experiences that need to be visible and acknowledged. Drama therapy has strongly influenced the belief that the stories we tell about how we are shape our identity, so I strive for the crafting of a new narrative that can influence significantly new ways of relating to personal experiences, to others, and to the ever-uncertain environment.
