Alexander McKenzie (he/him)
" Alexander McKenzie, born and raised in Montreal, has been a sexologist since completing his studies at UQAM in 2013. Alexander gained the majority of his professional experience in the community sector. As an anglophone, gay, black man living in Quebec, but also thanks to his experiences as a trainer, conference speaker, group animator and counsellor, Alexander has been able to develop a unique perspective and understanding in regards to the various personal and social issues that can have an impact on the global sexual health of men who have sex with men and other minorities. That being said, his door is open to people of all walks of life.

Above all else, Alexander wants to ensure that those who come to see him are assured a safe space where they can express themselves, free of judgements and taboos, to facilitate living their sexuality and interpersonal relationships in both a fulfilling and satisfying way. Initially trained in the ways of Motivational Interviewing, he currently works with Mindfulness at the center of his counselling to better support and accompany those who come to see him.
Alexander focuses on the strengths and capacities of the individual to help them bring about the changes that they want to see come to fruition. Sometimes you simply need to vent, be listened to and have another objective point of view. Alexander can offer that and more, always with the goal of optimizing the pleasure to be had in your sex life, romantic and affective relationships."
